The Efnote-7X is an electronic drum kit with larger drums and cymbals sizes. It's still super quiet though so you can practice more. You can also use them live and control the sound levels. The 7X features the popular 1 up and 2 down tom configuration. The hi hat is the same great 14 inch hi hat that has been on their other kits and the ride is 20 inches with a great responsive bell. For a crash you get 16". The other cymbals are an 8" splash and a 17" SFX cymbal. These can be used as 2 cymbals or a cymbal stack. The snare is 14 inches and boasts 9 sensors including a separate side stick that works great.

- Efnote Tools - Efnote came out with an app for your phone or that allows you to import kits, set levels, edit kits and more. Basically most of the functions you can do on the module screen you can do on your phone - works via the built in Bluetooth
- 8 channels of individual audio over USB, or 4 channels of analog outputs. There are also 2 channels of USB inputs for direct playback. On-board recording is also available. Store up to 15 songs.

I got the 7X with an additional 10" high tom. Edrumcenter answered all my questions ahead of time, and shipping was extremely fast--only three days to Austin, TX. The setup was straightforward if you've ever set up an acoustic drum set. The quality of the drums, cymbals and hardware is very good--everything is very solid and well made. The instructions for connecting the pads to the module are easy to follow. The feel of the pads and cymbals feels very close to real drums. After playing around with the trigger settings in the module, I was able to dial in triggering thresholds and volume levels for each pad and cymbal--you'll need to do this to get all of the volume levels even across the kit, and to get the hi-hat and cymbals to trigger/sound as close to acoustic as possible. The module is pretty straightforward, and with a little playing around, it becomes pretty intuitive. Bluetooth works well, and I was able to easily pair my iPhone to the module. The kit is a blast to play and looks great in my game room. The only drawback is that the stick noise when striking the instruments is much louder than I anticipated, so this could be an issue if you're concerned about sound bleeding through walls. Overall, very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful, well-made electric kit.
