The Roland VAD716 is a new full sized electronic drum kit for 2024 that features the new V71 drum module. This replaces the VAD706 kits and other than the new module these kits feature a new improved digital snare drum, revamped kick drum, an extra floor tom, and more. In addition to the four finishes that were available on the VAD706 kit's there is now a new Satin Walnut finish. This is the kit we got for our unboxing video and it looks fantastic.

This kit is simply amazing. The elegance built in to everything is so greatly appreciated. The playability provides a joyous feedback to your body and I can only really take minor issue with the kick pad. I find it to be like a small pillow which absorbs energy instead of providing the rebound that my A2E kit provides or a typical acoustic head would provide. I'm sure I will figure a workaround. Other than that minor issue, I love this kit! Also, a big thanks to Erik and the staff at e-Drumcenter for getting me this kit when all the other music retailers could not. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of! Gave me options when what I originally ordered was on back order with no real eta.
