I am writing this after purchasing my first eKit, a TD-17KVX2.
Unless you plan on adjusting your pedals so that the beaters are hitting each other at certain points of the swing, AND you attach your pedal all the way to the very right corner which causes the whole kick pad to rock left & right as you play, this does NOT take double pedals.
I don't know why I believed this, as you can tell from the actual design of the surface area. It's a circle with a center, not an elongated circle with a rectangular sweet spot. My pedals swiveling L/R is definitely causing parts to be worn away. I suppose I'll be buying a second kick pad & another single pedal, which is about as expensive as new Trick Dominators.
As far as the performance of the single pedal kick pad, it feels a bit dead but that's to be expected as it's not a normal playing surface. The way it works as an electronic bass drum is great.
9/10 being a virtual single kick pedal pad
0/10 being a double bass pedal worthy kick pad
