It's Even Better Than They Said It Would Be

I had read SO many posts on social media about how awesome the V series sound modules are. So, I decided to spend a day with a V51. The pads that were connected to it were not as nice as the drums of my VAD507, but the sound was amazing. I currently use the TD-27 V2 sound module, but the V51 is on another level.

To be honest the TD-27 V2 is probably a better value because it delivers 90% of the sound and editing capabilities of the V51 but at 50% of the cost. The TD-27 V2 can be tweaked to sound nearly as good as the the V51, but the V51 sounds amazing right out of the box. If you are currently using a TD-27, the V51 is a seamless upgrade because all of the V51 input connections are identical to the TD-27 inputs.

You might think the V51 is expensive, but it is a relative bargain considering it delivers ALL of the performance of the V71 for $ less. Unless you just HAVE to have the individual outputs found on the V71, the V51 is your discount ticket to flagship sound module greatness. If you buy a V51, you will agree that is the best sounding, most advanced drum sound module anywhere, from any manufacturer, at any price.

It's Awesome!

I'm only a few days in on the new V51 module but it is an upgrade to my stock TD27kv2 kit. The TD27 was and still is awesome. The V51 is simply the next generation that integrates seamlessly with the Roland Cloud and has added editing features which saves time editing. Kudos to Roland for bringing the V71 sounds at a great price and EDrumCenter are fantastic retailers and knowledgable.
