Too Sensitive

Just bought one of these and tried it out in the studio.
Great idea in principle but for live work it’s got to be positioned behind the band backline as the mic so very sensitive and easily picks up any sound bleed from other gear.
Depending on gig it’s not always possible to place kit at the rear of the stage .
To be fair there is a “head up “in the set up instructions that warns of potential issues. I do think however a bit more info would be good in the blurb so people could make a more informed decision . Especially when it’s sold as a live tool for versatile sound changes to an acoustic kit.
I’ll see how it shapes up I’ve the next few gigs.
Otherwise it’s back to my trusty TD-8 !!

I have been waiting for a customer to try on of these live, thanks for the feedback.

Love it!

Given that this product was originally marketed as a practice tool, the versatility of it is very impressive. With fine tuning it can be attached to a Cajon and used effectively, the built in metronome has sub division - + & voice options.

I would only suggest this for live work if your band use in ear monitoring with a low stage sound, or if you wanted a simple way to send yourself a monitoring mix of drums. Perfect for that.

The record 'n' share app is good but there are a few glitches to be ironed out in the Iphone 6.
