First, the kind folks at eDrumcenter couldn't have been nicer to work with. They helped me build a custom configuration, though a I ultimately went with a stock kit plus Tama hardware. It shipped the next day and arrived in a few days. Just stellar service all around.
Having owned a TD-10 back in the day circa 2000, I'd been waiting for an upgrade to come along that hit the sweet spot — great sounds, feel, and value. I never cared for that polished "Roland Sound" so I spent the last few years researching the competition — a lot of innovation but they all fell short in some way. Thankfully Roland nailed it with the new V31/V51/V71 modules and of course their best in industry triggers — the digital pads are pure bliss. So huge marks for quality, playability, and a great new sound engine. The cloud support and PC/MAC kit editor just elevate it even more so.
I'm currently building a custom virtual kit ... the edit parameters are staggering. This is so much fun!

I didn’t know about edrumcenter as I was looking to get a Roland kit for my wife to start drum lessons but then she pointed them out to me online and wow what a great experience! Loved their bundles with the hardware and felt it was a very good value.
